We love data, you love masturbating. Putting the two together just made sense.
We started Lioness in 2015 with one mission in mind: expand the world's understanding of female sexual pleasure through data, research, and the world's only biofeedback vibrator. Along the way, Lioness users have shared their experiences, spread the word, and helped us harness the power of pleasure, one masturbation session at a time. If you're a current Lioness user, thank you so much for being on this ride with us! Please make sure you open your app to see your individualized Pleasure Wrapped data.
Introducing Lioness's second year Pleasure Wrapped—a 12 month compilation of pleasure data made possible by nerdy, dirty Lioness users all over the world 🌎 Not only do these results show how diverse and unique pleasure and masturbation can be, but they truly show how normal masturbation is and how wide the world of smarter orgasms has gotten. Enjoy!
How long is the average masturbation session and orgasm? What does a typical Lioness session actually look like? Excellent questions that, once again, almost no one else on the internet can answer except us. 🎉
Over the past 12 months, Lioness users averaged 28.3 seconds per orgasm, a noticeable increase from last year. It turns out orgasms did not just show up in 2025 they lingered. That extra few seconds might not sound like much, but in pleasure terms, it is a meaningful upgrade.
As for total session time, Lioness users spent a median of 5 minutes and 21 seconds per session, slightly longer than 2024. Sessions stretched out, signaling a shift toward taking more time, being more intentional, and letting pleasure unfold instead of rushing to the finish line.
One thing that continued to stand out? Multiple orgasms. In 2025, 22.1% of sessions included two or more orgasms, holding strong after last year’s big jump. That means more than one in five sessions did not stop at just one. Proof that once people learn how their bodies respond, they tend to keep exploring.
If 2024 was the year of discovery, 2025 was the year of settling in and staying a little longer.

Orgasms are measured by the force sensors inside the Lioness Smart Vibrator. It measures the involuntary pelvic floor contractions (both the anal and vaginal muscles), which is one of the best indicators for orgasms used in research. On average, the vagina’s contraction during an orgasm is 69 gF (gram-force)...it's such a fitting number, isn't it?
So when exactly do people masturbate the most? Once again, we went to the data instead of guessing.
Lioness usage follows a clear rhythm across the year, the week, and even the day. March is the most popular monthfor Lioness sessions, and when combined with January and February, the first three months of the year account for over 31% of all sessions. As the year goes on, usage gradually tapers, making September the quietest month for pleasure. Apparently back to school energy is very real.
Weekly patterns tell a similar story. Sunday is the single most popular dayfor Lioness sessions, closely followed by Saturday. Together, Saturday and Sunday make up nearly 31% of all sessions, showing that pleasure thrives when schedules slow down and obligations ease. While Lioness sessions happen every day of the week, Wednesday consistently sees the lowest activity.
Time of day reveals the strongest trend of all. Sessions build steadily throughout the day and reach their peak in the evening. 8pm to 10pm is the most popular window for Lioness usage, with nearly 20% of all sessions happening during those two hours. Evenings clearly win once the day winds down and people finally have space to focus on themselves. On the other end of the spectrum, 3am is the least popular hour, suggesting that most people would rather sleep than squeeze in late night play.
Taken together, Lioness data shows that masturbation is less about spontaneity and more about rhythm. The most popular moments happen when time opens up, distractions fade, and people give themselves permission to slow down and enjoy pleasure.

What separated the sessions that people rated the best, 5-star experiences versus the worst, 1-star experiences?
So what actually makes a session feel five star? According to Lioness data, it is less about chasing intensity and more about creating the right conditions.
Five star sessions tend to last longer, with a median session time of just over seven minutes and orgasms that linger nearly twice as long as those in one star sessions. They are also more likely to include multiple orgasms, with more than one in five sessions going beyond just one peak.
Timing matters too. The most five star friendly sessions happen in the evening, especially between 8pm-10pm, when nearly twenty percent of all sessions take place. Sundays stand out as the best day of the week for five star sessions, suggesting that when people have fewer distractions and more time, pleasure quality improves. Weekends overall account for nearly a third of all sessions, reinforcing the connection between rest and satisfaction.
On a broader scale, early year energy shows up in pleasure habits, with January through March making up over thirty one percent of all sessions.
Taken together, the recipe for a five star session is not a secret technique. It is time, space, and permission. Slowing down, choosing the right moment, and letting pleasure unfold naturally seem to make all the difference.

When are people most likely to orgasm?
Ever wondered if stress or being too tired make having an orgasm harder? You're not alone, so do what you will with this information:
Over the last 12 months, people were least likely to orgasm at 1pm even though it's a fairly popular time to masturbate. Alternatively, 6am took the cake for being the time that Lioness users were likely to have an orgasm- as they say, early bird gets the worm!

What is the horniest holiday of the year?
Holidays always bring big feelings, and Lioness data shows that those feelings sometimes translate into solo pleasure. In 2025, the holiday leaderboard saw a few shake ups.
After an iconic run at the top, Groundhog Day was officially dethroned, though it still remained one of the most popular holidays for Lioness sessions. The crown this year went to Valentine’s Day, where love was clearly in the air and very much alive in the data.
Not every holiday held onto its spot. Easter and Father’s Day both slipped downthe rankings, suggesting that family centered celebrations continue to be less compatible with solo pleasure time. At the very bottom of the list, Thanksgiving proved to be the least popular holiday of the year, confirming that turkey, travel, and togetherness do not leave much room for self care.
Taken together, 2025 shows that while some holidays are made for pleasure, others are better spent waiting until the leftovers are gone.

Are stronger vibrations better? Do people like stronger vibrations or not?
Ah, the age old question: to blast your clit with supersonic waves or to not blast your clit with supersonic waves? Well, we have the answer.
This, like our most popular times to masturbate, has stayed fairly consistent to last year's data. Even more people used the Lioness with the motor off (46% vs 35.9%) followed by the 40% range. It seems like Lioness users like the gentler side of vibration and also experimenting with the Lioness as a tool to test other clitoral stimulators. Our favorite kind of scientists!

The Road to Orgasms is Paved with Pleasure Data…so keep masturbating!
Here's to another 12 months of doing it for science. May the orgasms be ever in your favor (or whatever that purple haired lady is always saying).
