Hi friends. A few weeks ago, I wrote about the best and longest orgasm I ever had using the weed lube, Foria Pleasure, and our Lioness Smart Vibrator. Since then, I’ve gotten a lot of questions about Foria’s non-THC counterpart lube, Foria Awaken, since the THC version is only available in just California, Colorado, and Canada, and some people can’t risk THC entering their bloodstream.
Well, I too was curious about the magic of CBD lube especially with all the CBD oil craze going on. The conclusion? I tried the THC-free CBD lube and it saved my orgasms.Let me explain.
Stress really ruins everything fun.
I’ve been insanely stressed lately and I’m sure a lot of people can relate to that when you’re stressed, you have a hard time getting aroused. Sucks. Which then led me to vaginal pain during sex and weak or no orgasms... which then just added more stress to my pre-existing stress. Double sucks.
So, with nothing to lose, I decided to try using my Lioness Smart Vibrator with Foria Awaken Arousal Oil to see if there would be any difference. To my surprise, it helped me have the most normal orgasm possible...and I mean that in the best, most grateful way possible.
What is CBD Lube?
We go much more in-depth on our Guide to CBD Lube (which you can check out here!) but in a nutshell: CBD oil itself has been kind of shining star in these recent years, marketed to the general public as a substance that can help reduce anxiety and reduce physical aches.
Although there are currently not enough studies done on the efficacy of CBD, especially with sexual arousal, many people have been swearing by it to help with all sorts of aspects of their health. So, it makes sense that CBD lube was created help enhance sexual pleasure and ease vaginal and vulvular pains.
Although both cannabis lubricants and CBD lubricants both often have CBD as a key ingredient, CBD lube is NOT the same as cannabis lube. For one, CBD lube has less than 0.3% of THC, the psychoactive ingredient in cannabis. It's such a small percentage that it does not affect a person nor is it noticeably picked up in drug tests detecting THC. Cannabis lube includes varying levels of THC depending on the product. While it doesn't generally affect people when it's used as a lubricant, it is a much higher amount of THC entering the body that you may not want.
Also, most CBD products that are available to ship to different parts of the world contain hemp-based CBD. That means that the CBD comes from a plant that contains 0.3% or less of THC as well.
On Foria’s website it says that Foria Awaken is “...formulated with broad-spectrum CBD, kava kava extract, and synergistic botanical and aromatic oils. This multiaphrodisiac formula enhances tactile sensation & pleasure while decreasing tension, discomfort and dryness.” The botanical and aromatic oils they mention are: cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, peppermint, vanilla, and cacao. It’s also worth noting that this is made with coconut oil, meaning it is NOT latex condom safe!
Like before with the Foria Pleasure, I used 8 sprays focusing on the internal vaginal application and clitoris and waited 15 minutes to let it really seep into my body. The first thing I noticed was the scent. I was surprised how pleasant it smelled, kind of like a mild eucalyptus-peppermint combo. After the first 10 minutes, I started feeling a slight excitement tingle spread in my body. While the Foria Pleasure (THC) felt like a deep and slow sensation, Foria Awaken (CBD) felt more like a light excitement in my body. Like if THC lube is smooth jazz, CBD lube is pop rock.
The Orgasmic Results
The first time I used the CBD lube, my vaginal walls felt a lot more relaxed. I still felt a little bit of the vaginal pain I had been feeling, but much less than before. I was able to relax more into it until eventually it started to feel like one of my good ol' regular sessions again. I had a decent orgasm, which is all I could really ask for! It was honestly a huge relief to get back into...my regular scheduled programming, let’s say.
I tried the Foria Awaken again 2 days later and this time it felt 100% back to normal. No pain, no dryness, a lot of sensations, and a good orgasm. In fact, this second session had a good amount of contractions throughout than the previous one, showing that it was a pretty great session overall for me.
I’m honestly pretty happy and grateful to have been able to try Foria Awaken lube at this specific chaotic moment of my life. Of course, it’s not your replacement for therapy or a mental health cure, but I will say it’s a decent weight off my shoulders to know that there’s something to help me get back pleasure and orgasms. I think Foria Awaken can be really beneficial and fantastic for anyone that experiences discomfort, pain, or tension during sex or masturbation. It’s a perfect helping hand to amplify your pleasure and orgasms...and sometimes all you need is a helping hand.
